BOSCO, Bosco Organization for Social Concern and Operation, (a non-profit, non-political, non-religious body registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860), came into being as response to variety of social activities undertaken at various Don Bosco centers of North India in 1999 and received its legal identity in 2002.

BOSCO, with its unique approach to social development promote, monitor and evaluate program projects across seven states namely: Jharkhand, Chattisgrar, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

We focus on need based initiatives which have laid foundation to many programs namely, education, skill training for the unemployed youth, career guidance and placements, social integration programs such as coaching or tuition centers, livelihood promotional activities for the marginalized, empowerment of the women etc. .  

We promote Linkages and net working with NGOs and other Govermment Organisations to synergize the unexplored arena of human potentials which lay buried under the clutches of poverty.

OBJECTIVES
  • To assist, promote, undertake charitable, social, educational (formal, non-formal) and humanitarian work irrespective of caste, community, religion, political affiliation or economic status, solely for the holistic and self-development of the weaker section of the society.
  • Planning and coordination of all initiatives according to the global strategies of the Salesian Province of Delhi.
  • Capacity building of the local communities and staff.
  • Methodological assistance-identification, planning, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects at various levels.
  • Representing and defending the interests of the target groups.
  • Coordinating and integrating the development process in North Indian states in accordance with the regional strategies and priorities.
  • Net working with collaborators, funding agencies and other like-minded organizations and facilitating new initiatives.
