MARG

What is Marg?

MARG stands for Movement for Animation, Research and Guidance. Marg is not just a static organization, but as the acronym Marg suggests a dynamic movement – a movement of young people, Salesians and collaborators, industry, corporate sector and other service and training providers. It is meant for animating – giving life to – young people. Marg also does researches into the spheres of technical education, curriculum development and the challenging field of training, employment, market demands and related topics. Most important of all, Marg considers Guidance of Youth as the unique characteristic of its mission.

Marg in Hindi means ‘Way’. Marg is a venture of the Salesian Province of New Delhi to cater to the young people under its care. Marg aims to equip them for life by means of skill training, soft skills, guidance and placement assistance. Marg is to act as a catalyst for the transformation of young people, leading them to a better and more dignified way of life.

The educational philosophy of St. John Bosco, “Passion for Youth!” inspires the Salesians and the collaborators involved with Marg to accompany the young people in their journey to self-realization and fulfillment. We too share in their struggles and achievements by being with them at every step as mentors and guides.
