DBTI OKHLA

Don Bosco Technical Institute is run by Salesians of Don Bosco - a religious society founded by Don Bosco in Italy. It has links with its provincial body situated in Delhi on major policy matters. The institute meets its running costs by doing job works for various Industries, NGOs and Institutions in and around Delhi. This very strong industrial bias enables us to subsidize the training of our students to a very large extent. It also enables us to secure employment for our formal and non-formal trainees.

General Information

Don Bosco Technical Institute is a Christian Institution opened in 1971, at Okhla, New Delhi and owned and run by the Salesian Province of New Delhi (North India). This institution has been set up with the co-operation of M/s Zentralstelle fuer Enwicklungshilfe of Germany, Misereor, Oxfam and Comede.

The aim of this institute is to provide Christian youth with a religious and moral formation together with a training both theoretical and practical, so as to enable them to enter industry as skilled craftsmen and thereby serve their country and fellow men as good Christians and honest citizens. The Institute also admits youth of other religions to provide them with a moral education along with technical training in both theoretical and practical fields.

The method followed is the system taught by Don Bosco, based on religion, conviction, mutual trust and confidence.

Motto: "To work for the poor and abandoned and make them honest citizens."
