General Information Don Bosco Technical Institute is a Christian Institution opened in 1971, at Okhla, New Delhi and owned and run by the Salesian Province of New Delhi (North India). This institution has been set up with the co-operation of M/s Zentralstelle fuer Enwicklungshilfe of Germany, Misereor, Oxfam and Comede. The aim of this institute is to provide Christian youth with a religious and moral formation together with a training both theoretical and practical, so as to enable them to enter industry as skilled craftsmen and thereby serve their country and fellow men as good Christians and honest citizens.The Institute also admits youth of other religions to provide them with a moral education along with technical training in both theoretical and practical fields. The method followed is the system taught by Don Bosco, based on religion, conviction, mutual trust and confidence. Motto: "To work for the poor and abandoned and make them honest citizens." Courses of Training Mechanical 1. NCVT recognized Courses: Printing Technology 1. ICSE recognized Courses: To secure a diploma in any branch of regular training, a minimum of 85% attendance is absolutely necessary, in addition to the required grade of 55% overall average. To secure a certificate in non-formal and part-time training, a minimum of 90% attendance is required.
