Building the bridge of relationship: Jain Public School

The work done by BOSCO Delhi does not solely move forward with a job-centred approach rather it is about going the extra mile. Such initiatives become more meaningful when an element of Volunteering comes in. Jain Public School is a volunteer partner with us. They invite children from Ashalayam, New Delhi to their school for conducting different programs such as skit, role-play and awareness sessions in the school premises. Every year during Independence Day and Republic Day, children from Ashalayam perform different programs at the school. It is an eye-opener for many students at the school and management, as well as it is a beautiful opportunity for street children to participate in such activities in front of an audience. The School management provides an opportunity for their students to start a friendship with these children and encourages them to have a better life through education.

Such programs encourage school students to understand about Child Rights and function of CHILDLINE, through which the students can reach out to the children in need and they can guide them to reach nearby CHILDLINE shelter home.
